The Blue Sky Initiative wants to encourage you to get active, get outside, and start walking! A walking school bus is a great way to get moving today. Walking School Buses are groups of students that walk to school together with a chaperone; the benefit is walking in a group rather than alone and fewer vehicles and more walkers on school campuses.

To start a walking school bus near you, contact the City of Victoria’s Education Specialist at 361-485-3230.  The Specialist will assist you with developing route plans, coordinating student safety training and providing program amenities. 

It starts with a few and can grow to 100’s by just taking one single step!
